TONY WANG Director Asia Markets | +61 439 577 777
The Colliers QLD Asia Markets team recently hosted a vibrant Chinese New Year celebration at our new Brisbane CBD office at One Eagle, marking the first client event in our new space. We were delighted to welcome over 40 esteemed clients and industry partners, including institutional investors, private owners, accountants, and solicitors, for an evening of networking, market insights, and cultural festivities.

The event featured a traditional Lion Dance performance to usher in prosperity for the year ahead, along with a Lucky Door Prize generously sponsored by Ready Media Group. A special thank you to Jake Ragkousis, Sally Miller, Rob Langton, and Nick Matera for their support, and congratulations to our lucky winners. Guests also enjoyed an insightful market update presented by our Asia Markets experts, Harry Bui, Tony Wang, Shaun Seeto, and Dr. Diaswati Mardiasmo, who shared key investment trends and opportunities shaping 2025. Their valuable perspectives highlighted how the Year of the Snake will influence business and investment strategies in the evolving market landscape. The Colliers Asia Markets team sold and advised on $1 billion worth of properties in 2024 nationally. With approximately $1.5 billion worth of Asian capital actively pursuing Australian investments, particularly Japanese investors, it’s safe to say the Australian real estate market will continue to be a big focus into 2025. Japanese capital leads residential and build-to-rent investments in Australia, while a resurgence of capital from Hong Kong, China,
and Singapore is taking advantage of the industrial, retail and office markets. Australia remained in the global top five for cross-border capital destinations in 2024 with Asian investment representing about 15 per cent of investment into Australia. With Asian capital actively pursuing Australian investments, now is the time to reach out to learn how we can assist you or how to include your property in the next Asia roadshow. Established in 2016, the Colliers QLD Asia Markets team remains committed to delivering unparalleled expertise and insights to our valued clients. We look forward to continuing to build strong relationships with our clients and partners throughout the year and wish everyone a prosperous and successful Year of the Snake.
